Looks Like Sylar Will Indeed Be Spock

Remember a little while back we reported that the ultimate bad guy in the “Heroes” TV show, Sylar (played brilliantly by actor Zachary Quinto) was talking about how he’s like to be Spock in the upcoming Star Trek film? Well… it looks like that very well may happen.

The good folks over at Moviehole give us this:

According to E! Online, Quinto may be a signature away from playing the new pointy-eared Vulcan! “Zachary Quinto’s chances of being Spock in the upcoming Star Trek film are looking extremely good. I hear the deal is about to close. Best. Casting. Ever.

This would be brilliant for several reasons. First and foremost I think Quinto is a good actor, and he could easily use similar character traits he employs for Sylar in his portrayal as Spock. Secondly, this would be very smart for Paramount because there isn’t much out there that is hotter than Heroes, and capitalizing on the popularity of the show by snagging one of it’s main characters just makes good business sense too.

Please don’t suck… .PLEASE DON’T SUCK!
