One of the films I’ve been foaming at the mouth to see ever since I witnessed its trailer is the new film with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, a topless Marisa Tomei and Albert Finney called “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead”. A film that is about two brothers who need money and decide to rob a shop owned by their parents… and things go horribly wrong.
My one concern was that I heard early on the film was having some trouble finding a distributor. Thankfully, the good folks over at cinematical are reporting that the situation has been resolved:
according to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer was “unofficial” and was intended only to help sell distribution rights at the Cannes Market. Obviously the trailer was a hit, because ThinkFilm has acquired North American rights to the crime thriller.
