The MTV Movie Awards Nominees

The totally pointless and absolutely useless MTV Movies Awards (but you have to admit the show itself is pretty entertaining) nominees have been announced. Once again, it’s all just films that were popular with kiddies (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Here’s the nominees list:

Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet: Evan Almighty ; Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer ; Hairspray; Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix ; Rush Hour 3 ; Transformers

How does one give an award for “Movie you haven’t seen yet”? How does Blades of Glory get nominated for Best Movie? Whatever, like I said, the awards themselves are 100% nonsense and meaningless. The MTV Movie Awards show though is always entertaining to watch, and I think they seem to know all that.

  1. @ KRAZIE835

    Thank you

MTV fucking pisses me off, dont know why they call it Music television, they never play music…oh wait, i forgot about TRL….WTF……they play like 5 seconds of a song, you fucking sneeze and you miss it…..pisses me off

Hey at least we still have VH1…..oh wait….fuck celeb reality tv…pisses me off

  2. There are people who actually still watch MTV? They should change their damn name since they hardly even play any sort of music on that damn channel.

  3. And I’d also like to institute a rule for this show that if you aren’t even gonna show up to accept the award, the award should pass to the runner-up. You know Johnny Depp will win, and you KNOW he won’t show up and he’ll pre-tape some mumbling shit. Boo hiss.

And Hairspray(HAIRSPRAY!) getting a nom? The FUCK?

  4. 300!!! I’ll root for 300, but these goddamn teen girls will vote for Pirates 2.

And how the hell did Johnny and Keira not get a best kiss nod? I hated that movie, but THAT was the kiss of the year. And giving out an award for a movie that hasn’t even come out…..makes no fucking sense. If the flick sucks, will the award be revoked?

  5. Yeah it’s more about the show than the Awards (although the Oscars is heading closer to being that way every year, but in a very different wsy) But I will throw in my two cents about the winners anyway:

    Best Movie:

Want to win – Little Miss Sunshine
    Will win – Pirates 2

    Best Performance:

Want to win – Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness
Will win – Johnny Depp in Pirates 2

    Breakthrough Performance:

Want to win – Abigail Breslin in Little Miss Sunshine
Will win – Justin Timberlake in Alpha Dog

    Best Comedic Performance:

Want to win – Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat
Will win – Sacha Baron Cohen in Borat

    Best Kiss:

    COULDN’T CARE LESS!

    Best Villain:

Want to win – Jack Nicholson in The Departed
Will win – Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada

    Best Fight:

Want to win – Naked fight in Borat
Will win – Naked fight in Borat

Besst Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen Yet – Doesn’t make a shred of sense but I’m going to take it as “most anticipated”:

    Want to win – Transformers
Will win – Fantastic Four 2
