Well, it’s official. The Simpsons Movie trailer is playing in front of Ice Age 2 (however… NOT at the theater I saw it at). And what does this trailer tell us… not much. However, one thing that it DOES tell us is the release date.
The Simpsons Movie is opening July 27th 2007. My calendar is marked, and vacation time booked. No matter what other people say about the quality of the show over the last few years… I STILL LOVE IT! I’ll probably pull a “Phantom Menace” and get in line like a day early or something stupid like that… just to say that I did it!

The teaser just aired on Fox. It was okay. Not very exciting, the idea of the movie is a lot more exciting than the 30 second spot.
Well, Im in, for sure – I once said Homer Simpson was a role model in my life, which caused a stir of interest with my bosses (and now I’mworking for them) – THIS MOVIE IS A MUST – and it will remain on our screens till 2008 (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4824432.stm)!!
spider-man just got competition for most anticiapted movie of the year 2007
I make a point never to listen to critics, because remember Rocky?? It got shit reviews across the globe, and it’s sequels kept getting slammed by tight-ass movie critics. They are eating their own words now and believe me, it would taste foul. The Rocky series is one of the most famous and popular film franchises of the millenium. A true underdog story with a great deal of passion, emotion, romance and classic edge-of-your-seat boxing matches with even a few laughs tossed in. And the critics hated it. They also slammed Saw 1 and Saw 2 which I think are two of the greatest horror/thriller movies in history.
I kind of went off the track here a bit, but my point is even if The Simpsons movie gets bad reviews, don’t listen to them because not every critic likes what you like. If that made any sense. But, having said that, I feel pretty confident The Simpsons movie will receive enormous amounts of praise. Then, and only then, should you listen to critics :)
Aaargh you know what, fuck all that. Listen: if you like The Simpsons, see the movie regardless of what the critics say. If you do not like The Simpsons, don’t see the movie regardless of what the critics say. It’s as simple as that. I think I’ve made my point…
HELLO – Its the freakin “Simpsons”!!! If you don’t go see it you might as well admit your an ol’ comugin or however you spell that old man/lady term!!
I have been a big fun of the simpsons and I can’t wait to see the movie, I don’t care if the reviews are bad, I still going to see it.
