Jason Sudeikis joins Will Ferrell in “Dog Fight”

Jason Sudeikis made a big impression with Hollywood this past summer as one of the stars of Horrible Bosses which went on to gross over $200 million on a budget of about $40 million. That alone is enough to get at least another job in Hollywood and today we’re learning that Sudeikis will be joining Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in a political comedy.

…the actor will star with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in Dog Fight, a political comedy from Jay Roach. They’ll also be joined by Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa…
Eastbound & Down writers Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy are behind the screenplay, which follows “rival politicians in a small congressional district in South Carolina.”

Sounds like an interesting premise and a great opportunity to generate some laughs if all three principle stars have any decent chemistry with each other. I’m not all that much of a fan of Sudeikis, or Galifinakis for that matter but I’m occassionally entertained by Ferrell and look forward to finding out if this could be a “hit” or “miss”. It’s on the ‘radar’ for now, but not very high on the list.
