You know, sometimes comedy actors get so buried in their careers that they just are not a draw to film anymore. So the only thing left to do is to assemble a pile of OTHER actors who also can’t draw a film anymore and make an ensemble comedy!
Best of all, make it about not growing up so you have tons of comedic material.
Five friends and former teammates reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
Wow, I can not say I am looking forward to this. I do really like Kevin James and Adam Sandler, and I used to like David Spade and Chris Rock. Never really cared for Schnider, mostly because his characters are all dumb and socially inappropriate like he is in this one. It is always funny to watch Kevin James’ physical comedy, but its just not enough this time.
But seeing them all together could add up to some funny moments, but I am just not that big of a betting man.
