A new Trailer is online for George Clooney’s Up in the Air, which also has a slew of other stars in minor roles. Check it out:
George Clooney stars as Ryan Bingham, a corporate hatchet man who loves his life on the road but is forced to fight for his job when his company downsizes its travel budget. He is required to spend more time at home just as he is on the cusp of a goal he’s worked toward for years: reaching five million frequent flyer miles and just after he’s met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.
The real charm of the movie seems to be Clooney showing the bright eyed new girl “the ropes” as he takes on a trainee and we see him spell out the tricks of the trade.
I am rarely let down by Clooney, so I am willing to give this a shot.
I think Clooney is a great actor and I have a soft spot for Vera Farmiga so I might give it a shot.
I kinda like Clooney, (inspite of my dad refusing to pay money to see a movie of with him in it and instead down loads it to cause the most damage he can to his career) but the real reason I want to see this is because of Jason Reitman. I loved Thank You for Smoking and I loved Juno. I have been keeping my eye on this one for a while just because of him.
Amen on the Reitman. You Dad sounds like a hater. Maybe that’s why you kind of like Clooney – rebellion.
I am glad you agree about Reitman, however, I find what you said about my dad unjust. If you meant by hater to simply say that my dad has extreme hatred for the man, that would be fair statement. However, if you meant it in the more common judgmental way that any time someone goes so far as to dislike something that you are fond of or at the very least feel a desire to defend, and thus they are an uniformed, unintelligent, social troll who seeks pleasure in baselessly bashing someone, that would be an unfair, unjust, baseless opinion of someone you have never met. You may have meant the former which is just fine, my only point is that people need to be more conservative in labeling people.
Also, my dad’s hatred for Clooney has nothing to do with my liking and would more likely make me dislike him if anything.
I’ve never been let down by Reitman either. Good stuff.
