  1. I liked the sound effects in the first trailer better. A high-pitched scream and rising siren seem like more effective scare mechanisms.

    Still seeing it anyway.

  2. Scorsese, how I love you. It’s really a shame, we should be watching this film right now. (sigh) At least we have “Where The Wild Things Are” to look forward to, still, this month (hopefully that is as amazing as it looks… oh and “Trick or Treat” on DVD tomarrow. Yay!)

  3. I get tired of people saying, “Read the book.” Go to a book website. I mean, it’s cool if you say “Book was awesome, looking forward to how the movie is.” But sometimes it just seems people mention the book just to say they read it before it became “cool.”

But about the MOVIE, totally looking forward to it. The additions to this trailer does make me want to see it that much more.

    1. Or maybe they’re letting people know that A) there was a book before the movie and B) they’re hopes for the film based on their experience with the book.

It’s no different than when the Harry Potter and Twilight books were adapted to the silver screen, and is essential to the topic of discussion.

  4. I saw the trailer in front of Zombieland (awesome fun movie) and I have mixed feelings. I think it starts out very strong, but then feels like it could go over the top with all the hallucinations. I’m interested, but not super excited.

  5. the book is amazing, Dennis Lehane is amazing, and I usually fear movies from books, but this one looks really good. backed up with a fantastic cast. Can not wait!
