Yeah, get them ASAP. When I looked in Friday’s paper and saw the little ad that said they were on sale, I left the house immediately, went right to the theater, and got my ticket. You don’t want to be that guy standing outside looking sad while the smart folks who got advance tickets stroll past you, laughing at your misfortune:)

  2. John seems to have blind love towards the Transformers movie so far and I hope the movie is good but I am still not getting my hopes up. I must admit though The Island was a lot better than I expected but it still wasn’t as good as The Rock and not even that film is considered great.

  3. Hey Kristina: Thanx for the heads up on the ticket sales.

I was going to wait a few days before buying mine for next monday night…but heck…I’m buying them tommorow!

Michael Bay…you MADE my childhood! haha. This film will be absolutley breathtaking! HURRY UP JULY 2nd!

  4. im honestly going insane waiting for this movie. i guess i’ll sit through die hard while im waiting, and then bam, july 2nd at 8.

with the trailers and tv spots and reactions from people who have seen it, theres really no way im gonna be dissapointed, its just a matter of how many times im gonna see this.

JOHN, SEE THE MOVIE AND REVIEW IT FOR ME PLEASE….

  5. @Darkkinger

Most places are rolling out(hehe)TF on the 2nd, actually. You ought to check and make sure your theater isn’t screening it early. My multiplex is having Transformers night with the screening at 8pm on the 2nd. My friend Ryan who works there actually emailed me today and said that it was a good thing that I got my ticket already, because the tickets are GONE. SOLD OUT. They only went on sale on Friday, and they are ALL GONE. He’s been working there for three summers straight, and according to him, that the fastest that any advance screening has ever filled up that he’s seen. This movie is gonna be MASSIVE. Well over 100 million opening weekend, and unlike the other “blockbusters” this summer, this thing just might have the legs to become the biggest grosser of the year.

  6. Man, that clip proves that Bay and co. are holding back a LOT of money shots in this flick. Fuckin’ A, I need to stop looking at this stuff, but I’m WEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I just want to add a comment here about mr bay and all his haters. Ok so most of his films have not been critical faves but lets be honest every film he has done apart from the island has been a hit. I understand that this does not signify a good film but he must be doing something right if he is getting a good return and the studios still hold him in high regard. I will still put my neck out and say that when ever i hear that bay is doing a film i keep an eye on it as even though it wont be the shawshank redemtion it will still be a fun film.

  8. Ironnhide’s face in this reminded me of beast wars prime also the action was close-up and in your face and im sure the volume was pumped!!! for max effect i was disappointed there was no press pack also.

  9. I simply now say: Screw the plot. I am not asking for ‘the Titanic’: I just want freaking giant transforming robots.

I felt blood rushing to my head at the very end of that clip. It was awesome…

As for Megan Fox: as a female, I could care less about her, but dang, I’m happy with Shia.

  10. Dude it was me that said about uk screening could u send me your 4 pics if they are any good or put them on flicker i didnt hang about had 2 get back 2 middlesbrough ow i was a row infront of tyrese

  11. Pineapplehead, i was at the london screening also and i 100% agree with what youve said. In my opinion this film grabs you by the balls and doesn’ let you go!! Damn was Megan Fox fine or what!!!!!!!!
I’d like to say thanks to all the fans at the screening because it just made the whole event amazing. Did you get many pics inside after they gave cameras back? I got 4-5 pretty sweet!!!!

  12. Hey ANOLOTIS – yea, was a cool screening.
I was sat two seats behind Tyrese and you could tell the guy was totally pumped about seeing the film again. He was cheering all the way through!

  13. It’s basically set up for more. Both sides can come back and there’s an opening for more turning up.

    I give it 8/10.

By the way – in the press release I was reading after the show it says originally they were planning to show ‘Combiners’ but it proved too costly at that point, much like the aircraft carrier John pointed out.

I strongly suspect they’ll go back to that idea if this film makes a shitload of money. Devastator may live !

  14. I Watched transformers at a press screening in the uk on 22nd all the cast showed up it was awesome!!! megan fox is so hot and my friend got a high 5 off shia, the film is awesome but there is some parts i will not discuss that are a little strange must be for the young ones but over all i give it a 9/10 the action is the best yet in your FACE!!!!!Here are some picks from the event http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/content.php?/transformers-news/story/4653/Official+images+from+the+Transformers+Movie+Screening.html just click on the link john and doug you guys will love this movie the crowd went wild at some on the scenes also tyrese was getting the crowd going all in all it was a night 2 remember plz give me a shout out on your transformers blog look forward to hearing you guys blogging for a long time to come l8r.

  15. Regarding the concern about “too much human, not enough robot,” for those that have seen the movie how likely is it that this movie ends up being Part 1 of 3? Without giving spoilers, could someone comment on how much they leave it open for a sequel?

I know success usually dictates sequels today whether they’re warranted or not, and this movie looks like it would have to try hard NOT to make money, but I’ve heard talk of a trilogy with each successive movie introducing more Transformer characters. This movie probably contains more set up and background relative to the sequels that would be coming out.

A friend is seeing it early at the US Transformers convention next week. I made him promise no spoilers, just a rating 1-10. I’m pumped!

  16. What I mean is that, and I dont consider this is a spoiler – the film is about the AllSpark. The Decepticons want it, the Autobots was to defend it. That’s the story. It isn’t complicated.

As a fan, I’d much rather they come up with something that introduces the characters in a credible way and doesn’t piss all over their origins and Bay achieves that.

  17. I’m avoiding to see to many clips from this movie, usually I watch 2, but I can’t wait to hear Peter Cullen/Optimis Prime, Megatron/Hugo Weaving and the Transformers start talking.

    “My Name is Optimis Prime.”

  18. I saw Transformers on Fri night at the london screening. Bay, cast et introduced the film – they’d been at the Italy on the night before.

Trust me – as much as there is a lot of human participation in the film it NEVER overshadows the Transformers. As sharon said in her review, you follow three story arcs which come together towards the end of the film but pretty much every scene has some robot action.

I thought the film was pretty amazing. The plot was PAPER THIN but that didn’t matter at all. Parts of it had me and the audience punching the air with fanboy glee. Mostly Prime stuff. There is also a lot more humour than I expected.

What impressed me was the pace. It never slowed down, never had a dull pointless scene and the final act was an insane machine showdown.

Also Megatron is FUCKING BADASS ! ! !
His ONE line to Starscream was a highlight on it’s own.

  19. John I agree with you on that part bay stated that he will never show the best parts in any trailers or tv spots we see, so dont worry, John you gonna post the TV spot i sent you last night, i want to know what people think of it, me PRIME + SWORD = BADASS

  20. Hey Andrew:

I see what you’re saying, but take solace in the fact that from all the press screenings, and advanced screenings and advanced reviews… everyone (Including The Movie Blog’s Sharon Dewitt) is saying this is indeed the Robots movie.

    Hey Jeffrey,

Yeah, a lot of movies do that and I can see why… cause they want to get people out to the theater… BUT… as above, from everything we’re hearing from all the people who have seen the movie already, apparently the commercials aren’t showing us ANYTHING. Keep your hopes up.

  21. Im not a fan of these little leaked snippets or shorts or whatever you call them. I know Bay has said that he is saving all the best clips for the movie, but i still get worried about it. There have been so many movies that just let all the hype out before the movie, and i just wish they would say “Transformers is coming out 7-4-07, go see it or you suck” because it is going to be HUGE! I just dont want to be sitting in the movie and know whats going to happen next. thoughts?

  22. I dunno. This looks really good, and is freaking badass. But with every clip I see, it seems like more and more, the story is about the human’s adventures in the midst of the Decepticons-Autobots war. It never seems like the Transformers are on their own, but rather pop up when the humans are doing something. This looks good, but it gets me thinking
