Neil Gaiman mentioned once or twice over the years that he wanted to make a movie based on his character “Sandman”. It was a novel enough idea and in today’s world of dominating comic book movies the only thing most studios need to greenlight a film is just a good pitch. And pitch he did to… no success… BUT, the age old credo of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” can still satisfy a few fans as Gaiman has placed the concept art for the film, by artist Jill Thompson, up for sale.
