Dreamworks ‘Rise of the Guardians’ Gets a Ton of Talent

Ever hear of the upcoming Rise Of The Guardians? Well, I’m calling it here, its going to be big. Dreamworks is making the film based off author William Joyce’s new book The Guardians of Childhood. The author previously created Meet The Robinsons and Rolie Polie Olie, and also worked on Toy Story, Bugs Life and Robots.
The film version, due November 2012, will have a fantastic cast, including Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman and Isla Fisher.
Thats a pretty good cast if you ask me!
Not sold yet? Guillermo del Toro will be executive producer. Woohoo!
Heres the synopsis, Via Filmofilia

When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes – Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost – band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch’s way.
More than a collection of storybook subjects, “The Guardians” are also a band of superheroes, who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear.”

Heres the cast (I think)
Chris Pine- Jack Frost
Isla Fisher- The Tooth Fairy
Hugh Jackman- The Easter Bunny (I laughed out loud when I read this)
Jude Law- Pitch the Boogeyman
Alec Baldwin- Santa Claus
What do you think of the cast?

  1. bahahaha, awesome cast. Seems like a serious-wanna-be-funny kind of characters. I will totally see these and laugh at it (and at the casts for such circumstances) and enjoy it :)
