Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 90 Days In Jail

The internet has been buzzing lately after Lindsay Lohans court appearance went public. The famous actress has been battling her alcohol addiction while trying to balance a busy life style at the same time. After 2 DUI’s and several missed probation appearances the problems of her life eventually caught up to her sentencing her to 90 days in prison.

I am not writing this as gossip, nor am I writing this to pass judgement on if she does or does not deserve it. When I see Lindsay Lohan I am reminded of the roles she has played since a child that I have always enjoyed. To be specific I loved The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, and Bobby.

I am saddened by the news because we have all seen so many child stars grow up to be addicted to something and living a rocky lifestyle. It makes me wonder how much work is actually done to help these child stars grow up in the spot light but at the same time learn to live a regular life with proper morals. Maybe what needs to be done is to assign a life coach to child stars that are constantly making films and not getting a chance to make mistakes as a child and learn from those mistakes like the rest of us had a chance to do. I know it’s a common statement to blame the parents but seriously where are these actors parents.

Personally I see this video and see a shocked young girl seeing real life for the first time. She clearly had no idea she would spend time in prison, which shows that she is completely unaware of the consequences of getting behind a motor vehicle impaired. It’s sad especially since it could of easily been avoided with the right guidance and a proper conscious. I can only hope that it is not too late for this young actress and as she sits in prison thinks to herself not only what she did wrong but how she can change. We’ve seen actors like Robert Downey Jr. pull out of a nose dive, hopefully she finds the same courage and bravery to do the same.

  1. ive gotta give props to the judge…that cannot have been an easy call to make (politically). hope this wakes people up to the fact that celebrities are not above the law because they are famous.

    1. That right there showed she went into that courtroom, not taking any of it seriously. Bitch got served with a dose of reality by the end though.

  2. I hope that this will be the event that makes her decide to turn her life around. She can have potential to be something greater than just tabloid trash news.

  3. It’s nice to see that their is a judge that sees that a star is not above the law. She is only going to do about 23 days with good behavior anyways.

  4. Everyone knows she has talent. Even I thought she was great in Mean Girls and good in Prairie Home Companion. But Mean Girls had Tina Fey and Companion had an great ensemble cast with the late Robert Altman at the helm.

With all her troubles and party hardy ways, family bickering and what not, I for one hopes the three month (she’ll be out by one) sentence will sober her up a little…and have her away from “baby powder” landing on her feet.

I don’t want to see her drop dead as a result of her drinking/drug habits. I don’t want to hear her wrapped around a tree. I don’t want her taking out the other driver on the other lane with two kids in the backseat.

I wish her well, and pray she gets her stuff together.

  5. Good. If you drink and drive you need to get the maximum sentence available, no exceptions. IF however, the Judge is lenient and doesn’t send you to jail and instead lets you off with a slap on the wrist and a few guidelines, you fucking follow those rules and guidelines. If you don’t, and instead treat it like the joke that you yourself are, then fuck you, off to jail you go which is where you SHOULD have been all along anyway. Self-centered bitch. Nice to know there is justice out there after all.
