  1. I think this trailer accomplishes exactly what it’s supposed to do.

It establishes recognition right away, pumps you up for an action-packed movie (to silence the doubtful who remember the last one) and it accurately markets this movie as an epic action adventure.

Who would you rather take your chances on, at this point, M. Night Shamalama-dingdong, or Ed Norton?

I think for people who liked Iron Man this film will have more story involvement, character development and action (Iron Man’s ending battle was kind of short-winded- esp. compared to THIS one’s promised 26-minute New York street brawl!).

The funny thing is that this film DOES have cutting edge FX: It’s the FIRST to hit theatres employing James Cameron’s facial recognition CGI that he’s developed for the upcoming AVATAR.

So they’re working out the kinks. All I know is, when I saw it on the big screen and it was a million times clearer than these little quicktime screens, the Hulk’s eyes had a LOT more life in them than most film creatures have ever had.

Looking forward to the Gentle Giant’s sit down w/ Betty Ross, w/ Lou Ferrigno doing the voice.

I think every trailer should have a kiss scene w/ Liv Tyler & Norton, b/c that was ALL my sister needed to see to know she was taking her kids to see this flick!!!

  2. the problem with alot of “people” is that this film is completely diffrent to any other Marvel movie or DC for that matter for instance the first hulk film wasnt recived well by the poeple who arnt “fans” becasuse they came to see “the hulk” not bruce banner and cos everyother superhero stays the same they dont grow people are fine with watching them but hulk is a driffrent story they only want to see him thats the problem with it its so BIG that you cant make enough HULK for the NON-FANS lol. But as for this trailer its great. But Superman is the most powerfull lol.

the thing is- if they show too much then it will spoil the movie. the previews for ironman showed every fight scene. i remember that 6 months ago when we didnt get the hulk trailer but we had TDK and ironman trailers john or doug (i dont remember who it was) sayd that it was because they didnt want to show everything and spoil the movie. i disagreed cuz i wanted to see the trailer. now that i sawll ironman however, i tottaly see what they were talking about.
when i sawll ironman all the scenes were shown in the trailer and some scenes from the trailer werent even in the movie.

now considering the 20 minute fight scene, i think theyve shown enough of that scene in the trailers- i just dont want the trailers to show like the whole thing!!! just show abomination for 5 secounds and dont show like all the good scenes in a colage that was 10 secounds long. you know what i mean? i was so pissed when the ironman movie didnt surprise me, but thats cuz im dumb and watched all the trailers like 30 times :(

yeha i wasnt like ripping on the thing i actually like the character, i just think that if they chose to make the hulk go against superman in marvel/dc then thats pretty much all the proof you need. they didnt make it the thing vs superman.
the thing is awsome but the hulk is kinda unbeatable if hes fully pissed.
and-my favorite superhero is the punisher- thats like the one superhero with no superpowers so, there you go lol.

(whoever keeps using my display name please stop or ill be forced to set you on fire)

  5. If the final fight is 26 minutes long, there is no excuse for not showing a 10-15 second montage of clips from it. None.

I agree with Phil Gee, and l liken it to what Kristina said about not showing any clips of Indy 4 on The Tonight Show. Bad marketing.

  6. Just to clear this up.

The Thing was stronger than Grey Hulk if I remember properly,

The Thing was certainly NOT as strong as Green Hulk. I remember having several Thing vs. Hulk issues that clearly laid that out.

  7. Beano
the thing isnt stronger. the hulk is bigger taller and when hes completely filled with rage (rage mode) pretty much no one can beat him.
im brainstorming through my mind to see if theres another character but thats all i got- the thing and the hulk. but the hulk grows and grows dude and if hes pissed hes a UNSTOPPABLE. but yeah the thing is pretty sick

  8. Everyone is aware, I assume, that as much as we all may love the Hulk he is, in fact, not the strongest being in the marvel world!!!!shock shock, I know!! That particular title goes to the Fantastic fours The Thing!! Sorry kids! Seriously, check it out!

the 26 min fight with abomination is the peak moment of the movie. theyre not gonna give it away n the trailer. u didnt c Nick Fury in the Iron Man trailer, OR the fight with Stane’s robot (the name eludes me), and weve seen everything up 2 the very 1st blow.
    &
    JOHN
Edward Norton wrote and stars in the film. you really think its gonna lack character depth!?

  10. @ John, i don’t think you’re going to get much character depth in a trailer… and I thought that Iron Man was quite a character driven film.

but then again I liked Superman Returns!!

  11. I think they’ve shown enough of this movie. People know what they’re going to get if they watch it, and their target audience has been reached.

Personally, I’m not that excited about this movie, but I’ll probably go see it anyways. I think the Marvel studios are dumbing down the movie to the level of 13 year old boys (which they probably should for monetary reasons). It’ll still be fun, but I still wish for the depth of characters and relationships that you had in the Bryan Singer X-Men movies.

  12. Here’s what i don’t understand; for a film that’s supposed to feature a 25 minute battle between Hulk and the Abomination, why aren’t we seeing lots of shots from it? If you want to sell people that this really is an action rollercoaster then…….well it’s too late now.

  13. The trailer Rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are you guys talking about… Didn’t you see
the Hulk do his famous “Thunder (0:44) Clap” towards
the end of the trailer? That was Fuckin Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

With everything I’m seeing, this movie will totally own
come June 13th!!!! Can’t wait to see this!!!!!!

  14. Funny, I just got back to from watching Iron Man and if The Hulk is made anything like this flick was…I’ll be stoked to see it!

My opinions are changing and the hype is starting to work for me!

i agree. superman mopped the floor with him in MARVEL VS DC. but in the marvel world he IS the most powerfull.

and i liked this trailer and all the others.i think this movie will be really good

  16. ok, that trailer kinda sucked. there were like, 2 shots in there that i really liked, that i hadnt already seen. but come on, who these fucking title cards “the most powerful superhero on earth” (u can argue THAT till fuck knows how long) “returns in an epic movie adventure” (COME ON! movies in the 80s werent even that cheesy!)
