Lost Boys 2 Gets Corey Feldman and Corey Haim

Corey-Corey

I just LOVED the first Lost Boys movie. To me, still one of the best vampire movies ever. As a matter of fact… that gives me an idea for a post I should do latter… but I digress.

A little while ago they announced that they would be doing a Lost Boys 2 movie that showed very little resemblance to the original with none of the original characters. I beleive the term “surfing vampires” was uttered. *Shudder*. Well, if for no other reason than morbid curiosity, my interest in Lost Boys 2 has just shot up. Word is that BOTH Corey Feldman and Corey Haim are returning for the movie. WOW. The folks over at Moviehole give us this:

The story was – as the Corey’s new reality show reminded us – that Feldman was asked back, but refused to return unless his ‘best friend’ Haim was also onboard. Hmm… either that line was always bullshit or the fan-backlash against Haim not being offered a role led to just that. Whatever the case, both Corey’s have now been offered the chance to reprise their roles as Edgar and Sam, respectively, in the DTV sequel. Jamison Newlander, another star of the original 1987 fave, is also joining them.

Oh wow… that’s just… wow. This movie just went from “I’ll never see this in a thousand year” to “This is going to be so universally bad I’ve just GOT to watch it” all with one quick new release.

Maybe… if we’re all very good little children this year… Santa will bring us a “License To Drive 2” this Christmas! “Joy to the world…” As a side note… WTF happened to Haim?!?!?! holy crap.

  1. This sequel would be a big flop without those 3 guys. Now it will flop with a little familiarity to it. However it couldn’t be much worse than most of the sequals and remakes coming out these days…

  2. That’s fucking awesome. I do agree you, this movie had a gigantic “B” rating all over it, but then you said they’d both be in it. Good thing Jamison will be in it, or else that woulda been unfair.

    Hey, who wants chinese?

  3. Whatever happened to Joel Schumacher? He directed the first Lost Boys and that is one of the ultimate 80’s movies that I can remember. Do you think that he’s too good to do something like this? The last great thing I saw him do was Phone Booth. If they can get Joel to direct this one – I’m in.

  4. If you watch the Coreys reality show, Haim dosen’t look that bad. That picture you have up there is of when he was still battling drug problems and all that “I’m a Hollywood baby so I’ve got serious issues” stuff. He looks great now though. He’s lost weight and is said to be off drugs, so can’t wait for Lost Boys 2.
