  1. Ive been having trouble with the iTunes subscription. It doesnt seem to want to update, and it is indeed the newer feed. I unsubscribed and resuscribed and it was updating me with last weeks June 13th Uncut.

  2. @Jeff

I’ve seen those damn commercials before. Cute at first, now I kinda roll my eyes when I see them. Love Bruce, but meh on those commercials.

  3. I’ll be stopping by for the Transformers pod-cast. Just don’t ruin anything for us who aren’t as fortunate to have advanced tickets! (though everyone does know Optimus has a big-ass sword.)

It’s sort of sad, because after the movie comes out and all; No more podcasts with it… That’ll be odd.

I’m now going to not watch any more Transformers clips, and I hope I can remain strong and not look at any new ones until I see it, because I have to wait. And it is TORTURE to wait.

Looking forward to seeing 1408 and Ratatouille. Pixar is undoubtedly one of my favorite movie producing companies. Freaky stories, but wonderful story-telling, indeed.

  4. You guys are weak! I stopped watching clips 5 Transformers posts ago.. So this movie had better be good. I’m going crazy at the thought of being disappointed.

  5. john, if we could keep it spoiler free that would be great. im trying the not watching anything else or learning anything new until i see the movie.

knocked up was a great movie by the way, and i look forward to your review of tformers

  6. @Jeff

On my honor, I did not watch it. After I saw the new commercial, I said that I would not watch any more footage or read any reviews(save for John’s jackoff fest here….keep it spoiler-free, buddy!).

  7. I saw Ratatoiee availbe online the other day.
I new it was going to be an awsum ride, so I will decide to save till it comes out.
    Thats the power of pixar

  8. Hey John, glad to see you’ve joined the Ubuntu club!

I’ve been running ubuntu on my ass-old system for years. It definetly rocks! And because of your endorsement a while back, I just purchased myself a MacBook. Totally awesome!

If you need any help with it, let me know. Quick tip; download automatix2 for video codecs and such.

  9. I know this is off subject ..

But I had a dream last night that Ben Afflecks upcoming movie Gone, Baby, Gone won an Oscar …. hmmmmm. Can’t remember what it was for though. Either Best Picture, Screenplay or Director.

Remember this folks because if it happens … I think I should have a spot on Heroes.

  10. hey John, great podcast, loved the Transformers/kill bill stuff. Im with you guys on the the clip stuff, ive been eating up anything thats come out, and i agree enoughs enough, im seeing it onThursday as well, cant wait.

  11. ENTER YOUR COMMENTS HERE. Make sure you fill out the box below this one before submitting your comment Listening to you talking about Ratner directing Playboy. How about the guy who directed Kinsey? Ok, it was totally art house like that’s a bad thing.

  12. Doesn’t Ratty open this Friday? Well, once the big fucking robots come to town the week after, kids will care less about that fucking rat, methinks.

  13. THE MOUSE HOUSE:
While there have been DTV/DTDVD that aren’t too bad (the recent Walking Tall 2, I liked most of Hollow Man 2, and I liked Mimic 2 from a mumber of years ago…but when it comes to Disney product, my eyes rll in the back of my head. Lion King, Aladdin…and one of my guilty pleasures, Emperor’s New Groove’, I have had mo interest in the video/DTV sequels. Especially when they milked Lion King into crap, where only Broadway can save you.

But the reason why Disney used to put out this crap is for one reason and one reason only: TO SELL MORE TOYS. Yes, we can say the kids won’t mind the misadventures of the MoncudaMontadda pair, but y’know something? The same kids get zonked out over Spongebob Squarepants and Fairly Odd Parents. They couldn’t give a care aboutThe Lion King 3 1/3 or whatever. But give ’em Monsters Inc or Ice Age. The mantle has been taken from Disney because all Disney used to care about is making DTV crap about a weak sequel to Snow White or something. Dang it, I want a comeback from Roger Rabbit.

    HEF:
I think I’m okay with Ratner behind The Hef movie. Not like I’ve got plans to see the darned thing anyway. I hated the Rush Hours, but that was due more to an overrated loud mouthed wannabe comedian (guess who) than to Ratner. I rember liking Family Man, After The Sunset. X-Men3 was alright. Hated Red Dragon, all the way.

    TRANSFORMERS:
Somethings you forgot here. I wanna hear it or see a post. No, not on swords. But what’s the “las vegas” prediction on how much stupid ass money this shin-dig is gonna throw down. Also, hate it or love it, please don’t spoil (and soil) too much of it come Thursday eve. In fact, I won’t even listen to the podcast. Unless I find me a ticket scalper…..

Second, my prediction on Transformers opening weekend : 115 million, give or take a dime. The dropoff the follwing week will be less than 50 percent. Ratty will also open big, and it will be the Transformers main competition.

  14. Hey John…

I’ve got tickets to the same Transformers screening at SilverCity, courtesy of the fine folks at the ‘ML. Can’t wait!

    Great podcast as always too!

  15. Last UNCUT before your Thursday screening of Transformers? Don’t we still have Wednesday’s LIVE show? (still in the Pre-Transformers Era)

  16. funny hear to your voice from before John.. You can notice the difference in quality in the mikes back then

it reminds me of when you watch one of the very first simpsons episodes and how different homers voice sounds compared to now :)

  17. The Pre-Transformers era?!!!!

John, you have no idea how much I wish I could go with you guys to see this movie, just to watch you turn into nine year old boys for two hours. Oh God, I seriously cannot WAIT to hear your review!

  18. I will lay money down that this movie rocks but for some reason John ends up hating it for some reason. just like death proof rocked and he hated it:P
