Long before he was known as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Samuel L. Jackson made his mark in the galaxy far, far away as Jedi Master Mace Windu in George Lucas’ Star Wars prequel trilogy. Despite the character’s demise in “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” Jackson hinted at a potential comeback during an interview with Empire Magazine.

In the interview, Jackson emphatically stated, “HE’S NOT DEAD!!!” when discussing Mace’s fate, sparking speculation among fans about the Jedi’s potential resurrection. When asked about the possibility of a Disney+ series centered around Mace Windu, Jackson enthusiastically responded, “EVERYTHING YES!!”

Samuel L. Jackson Should Get A TV Series

The Star Wars franchise has a history of resurrecting presumed-dead characters, such as Darth Maul in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” With this precedent in mind, the notion of Mace Windu returning to the screen seems entirely plausible.

As the Star Wars prequel trilogy celebrates its 25th anniversary, reflections on its impact continue to resonate. Actor Hayden Christensen, who portrayed Anakin Skywalker, shared sentiments of pride and gratitude for his involvement in the trilogy, despite the polarizing reception it initially received.

“It’s been a remarkable experience,” Christensen remarked in his Empire interview. “The journey that I’ve been on with Star Wars over the last 20-plus years… it’s been a wild ride, and where we’re at now is really meaningful to me.”

As “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” prepares to return to theaters to commemorate its milestone anniversary, the excitement surrounding the franchise remains as vibrant as ever. With the potential return of Mace Windu looming on the horizon, fans eagerly await further developments in the Star Wars universe.
