Thor Behind The Scenes Footage

We finally get to see some behind the scenes footage from the making of the Thor film. This is an Entertainment Tonight fluff piece so don’t expect too much from it, but it’s still really cool and you get to see a couple big sets, and Anthony Hopkins in costume. So Enjoy!

  1. Isnt this guy a little..um..whats the word… small? I thought that Thor was a lot bigger than this? Yeah Im looking at a comic now, he’s definitely about 3 times this guys size.

    1. It seems to be a rule of thumb that all comic book characers are three times the size of normal people.

On a side note: I like the way Portman and Thor interacted during the interview, but I’m still hesitant on her being in the movie. Doesn’t seem to be a good fit IMHO.

    2. Chris Hemsworth is around 6,4 and as beefcake as he can be. So call him small is quite an understatement. Also, in comic, they’re always amplified on everything. I beleive if you pose him alongside tony stark and captain america, he will be a standout.

  2. Wait did my comment get deleted because you thought it was off topic? If so, obviously this site has never seen ‘Adventures in Babysitting’.

or if i’m going crazy and never actually posted it… here it is again…

So is this a prequel or sequel to ‘Adventures In Babysitting’?

  3. I really hope Branaugh (sp) knocks this out of the park. I like him and I like Hemsworth. I’ve only seen him in Star Trek and A Perfect Getaway but both small roles were great.

  4. After watching the footage on ET, I have to say Dan, it was a little bit more than a fluff piece. One brief shot of Asgard and what appeared to be a statue of Loki (w/ curved horns!) was enough to get me pumped. There were a couple of shots with Chris Hensworth in Thor costume.

A brief interview w/ Ken Branagh.

Most of it though was Hensworth and Portman running out of a building and/or busting into one. And then GAAAAAA the fluff stuff takes over.

Someone get a screen cap of that Asgard/Loki shot. I dare you.
    I double dare you.

    1. What about double dog dare? Thats a pretty intense dare wouldn’t you say? But I gotta say Hensworth is looking pretty buff and is fitting the role of the Asgardian God of Thunder rather well. Still wanna see the helmet though.

      1. Heath Ledger didnt have a Joker personality. Thats why its called ACTING.

But still.. this guy is twice the size ledger was, and has a presence completely different from Ledger.

Heath could throw on some bad posture and some mannerisms and suddenly he was a completely different person. This meat factory could slouch and he would still be imposing.
