Titanic Cast Reunites On Revolutionary Road

revroad.jpgDreamworks just started printing money. Kathy Leo and Kate are back in bed together for the upcoming film Revolutionary Road. We get the prophecy from the hallowed halls of the Hollywood Reporter:

Kathy Bates has signed on to reteam with her “Titanic” co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in Sam Mendes’ “Revolutionary Road” for DreamWorks.

David Harbour, Michael Shannon and Zoe Kazan also are boarding the 1950s-set drama, which revolves around a suburban Connecticut couple whose relationship deteriorates into an endless cycle of squabbling, jealousy and recriminations.

I love 1950’s period films. I love the cars, the design and the plastic look of the people. In many ways the 1950’s looks like another dimension – but it was only a half century previous to our present.

Having theTitanic cast together for a new project is brilliant. Enough time has past to avoid being cheesy, but it is close enough where hype will still be generated from them working together. Love or Hate Titanic – these two sold alot of tickets with their chemistry. It will be interesting to see if lightning will strike twice fr them. If it does – they should have children; and sell them on ebay.

  1. Cool idea, but from the sound of the plot, this one aint for tennyboppers. Besides, they’ve grown out of Leomania, so anybody thinking that this’ll do Titanic numbers is on some good-ass drugs.
