The Crow reboot already has a new writer and director

ALREADY!? I’m sorry. I blurted that out. But seriously, didn’t they just clear the air on this movie YESTERDAY?! This must be a new record or something as the film not only got back on track yesterday, but within the span of 1 day the film has a new writer and director?!

In a matter of about an hour earlier today, it was reported that a new writer and a new director had been chosen to remake The Crow. Relativity has chosen F. Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall, The Monkey’s Paw) to direct, and Jesse Wigutow (Irreparable Harm, The Osterman Weekend) to write the script.

I reaaaally hope they aren’t just rushing this to get a quick turn-a-round on cash. I understand that they’ve already flushed a lot of money down the toilet on the gazillion writers and directors that have been attached to this project at one time or another but I hope they try to prioritize quality rather than speed to a turnaround on investment.

I haven’t seen Guiterrez’s work, but I have heard mixed things, quality wise, about him. Anyone catch “Before the Fall (3 días)”? Let’s watch the trailer:
