Wow that’s a difficult headline to read 10x fast. Marvel Studios has announced that the role of Dr. Abraham Erskine the sole creator of the Super-Soldier Serum will be played by none other then the Oscar-nominated actor Stanley Tucci.
For those of you unaware of Erskine, he was the scientist to develop the Super Soldier Serum only to be assassinated shortly after successfully injecting it into Steve Rogers. Which is the reason Steve Rogers was the only lucky patriot to have received the serum.
Marvel’s official log-line for the film is:
“Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of he Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.”
Stanley Tucci is a fine actor, I’ve enjoyed him in almost everything he does. He carries around with him this arrogance and sarcasm that will work great for a top notch scientist. I love hearing about the news for these comic films because as all the parts are slowly getting casted we can all start imagining how the film will turn out.
Whose excited by this? Anyone not? *Slap* That’s right I slapped you, deal with it.
