Hellboy 2 Script Review

I have said it before and I will say it again. Im not a fan of sequels. Trilogies and planned series of films work because they are intended to be part of a bigger story. There are a lot of reasons why I dont like sequels.

Hellboy2: The Golden Army is the opposite of all those reasons.

In their Hellboy 2 script review, Latino Review says:

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is a huge movie. It’s much bigger than the first, including flashbacks to the Golden Army tearing through a human army, a troll market filled with dozens of strange monsters, a five story tall tree elemental battling Hellboy on the Brooklyn Bridge, Yokai spirits rampaging in Tokyo and a dragon attacking Moscow. And that’s just for starters!

This movie looks like its going to be a LOT of fun. Hellboy’s got a girlfriend, Abe’s got some updated gear (and a bigger part from the sounds of things) and the world is just finding out about Hellboy as they go public. On top of ALL of that there is even a plot. A big army of goblin built robots controlled by the prince of elves. And we all know how much John likes to see robot battles.

Its every Fairy Tale gone wrong and getting in Hellboy’s way. This movie will be huge in effects, action and if the first was any indication, humour.

I loved the first Hellboy. And I am so looking forward to the next one!
