Chris Evans MIGHT be in Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Snow Piercer’

Chris Evans is currently being courted in what appears to be a heckuva an interesting film. It’s a post-apocolyptic film that would have Evans in the starring role and directed by Bong Joon-ho (Memories of Murder, The Host, Mother) with the entire film taking place on a train in a desolate and bleak future.

Joon-ho originally described Snow Piercer as a post-apocalyptic movie about a few survivors who end up on a train together. It’s set after the “apocalypse” and the whole world is covered by ice and snow, “some kind of new ice age.” The train includes many survivors from all over the world and is divided up by economic classes, so people are fighting each other over that class struggle. It doesn’t say what role Evans will play, but they do mention that this project “is already drawing the attention of handful of top-tier Hollywood talent.” That means expect more big names besides Chris Evans to pop up soon. Joon-ho has been working on this for a while…

Don’t worry as I’ve learned my lesson and won’t get too attached to the idea of this guy being involved in the film, but the idea is pretty darn interesting and I’m actually looking forward to how things develop from here. The premise is extremely interesting, but I am also curious as to who else might be in the runnings for the role that Evans is vying for.
