Project Hail Mary (2026)

Top Movie Releases of March 2026

It’s only March and 2026 is already offering a wonderscape of cinema. Major production houses are ready to gamble and are on their way to market quality watch times (or maybe we’ll find that out). For now we’re eyeing five upcoming movie releases of this month that may just be some of the best of 2026.

1. The Bride! (March 6, 2026)

Though not chronologically relevant, this list had to start off with a story which is enough to have all my attention. It has been a while the horror/goth genre became the new fan favorite genre, pushing filmmakers to sway their ideas to unexpected places. The Bride falls right within this criterion with its bold offerings. Though the Frankenstein narrative and reanimating humans to create monsters with unconventional twists is a concept seen often adapted on the screen as in Poor Things and Lisa Frankenstein, this one adds up the catalogue.

Victor Frankenstein-com-monster is Dr. Euphronious who is trying to unalive a murdered woman in 1930s Chicago. What goes wrong in the process is an untamable being and a romance instantly sparks between the two. Starring together are Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz with Maggie Gyllenhaal as its writer and director.

2. Project Hail Mary (March 20, 2026)

Ryan Gosling is coming back on the big screen, this time in an inter-galactic space hero. Dr. Ryland Grace is the amazing scientist, stranded on an interstellar spacecraft with zero knowledge of how he got there. We’ll join him on his mission to save our home safe home, planet Earth from a giant cosmic threat in the classic sci-fi way. Sent reluctantly on to complete the ‘Project Hail Mary’, Dr. Ryland will go against all odds to prove that he’s not the ‘naut’ in astronaut. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller directed the film, known for their quirky action-packed filmmaking with Sandra Hüller joining the cast as Eva Stratt.

3. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (March 6, 2026)

You know a project has become a global phenomena when the world can’t get enough of its diverse adaptations. From being many of the most beloved series on Netflix to the big screen, Peaky Blinders is one of the most originally curated works. It offers gritty British period settings and charismatic characters that one can’t get enough of. It is also among Cillian Murphy’s most impactful performances on screen.

Luckily, he will be reprising his role as Thomas Shelby in the 1940s when WWII’s chaos is prevalent. Coming back from an exile, this would be his quest for redemption from his family and his country. Other cast members include Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg while Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, and Jay Lycurgo will be starring in new roles.

4. Forbidden Fruits (March 27, 2026)

A witchy femme cult in the basement of a clothing store? That’s the kind of weird you may expect from Meredith Alloway. Though Forbidden Fruits will be her first major Hollywood project, the unusual aesthetics speak a signature directorial style. Before getting to what the movie is about, what blew the internet away was the major cast ensemble of this film.

An army of some of the finest television actresses will be featured in the film. The cast members are Lili Reinhart as Apple, Lola Tung as Pumpkin, Victoria Pedretti as Cherry, Alexandra Shipp as Fig, Emma Chamberlain (in her acting debut) as Pickle, and Gabrielle Union as Sharon. The film will have a dark humor set within the horror/fantasy genre. The secret cult will be threatened as a new hire may disrupt their dynamic.

5. Hoppers (March 6, 2026)

It’s that time again when Disney Pixar comes back with an original animated movie much to our delight! Directed by Daniel Chong and written by Jesse Andrews, Hoppers is about Mabel Tanaka who is obsessed with the animal world. Scientifically, her consciousness is transferred to a robotic beaver and he is suddenly exposed to understanding the tongues and lives of the entire animal kingdom. With this new outlook, she is set to discover it and protect it from the looming threats posed by the outside world. It is lighthearted, funny, and adventurous. Can’t wait to watch it!

Let us know which of these March releases are you most excited for?

Happy Watching!
