The Book Thief: Trailer

Directed by: Brian Percival
Starring: Sophie Nélisse, Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson

Geoffrey Rush  appears to play a sympathetic huggable old boy (see above pic) in The Book Thief – the type of foster parent you definitely wouldn’t mind having. Young French Canadian actress Sophie Nelisse stars in her first non-French language film, and looks like she is a little star in the making. The Book Thief looks to be an interesting film adaptation of the bestselling book!

Based on the beloved bestselling book, THE BOOK THIEF is narrated by Death and set in Nazi Germany – a place and time when, as the narrator notes, he was extremely busy. Under the watchful eye and caustic musings of Death, a young girl named Liesel embarks upon a journey marked by discovery, courage, friendship – and the power to triumph over the most daunting obstacles.
