Prime Video officially announced that Cross Season 2 will premiere globally on February 11, 2026, with the first three episodes debuting together before rolling out weekly until the finale on March 18. The eight-episode second season continues the gripping story based on James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross novels.
During New York Comic Con, fans were treated to a tense and atmospheric teaser that previewed Alex Cross’s next mission — tracking down a dangerous vigilante targeting corrupt billionaires.
A Deeper Dive into the Mind of Alex Cross
Created by Ben Watkins, Cross follows Alex Cross (played by Aldis Hodge) — a brilliant detective and forensic psychologist whose unique insight into criminal minds makes him one of the most compelling investigators on television.
Season 2 will push Alex further than ever before. While Season 1 explored his ability to get inside the psyche of murderers, this new chapter puts him face-to-face with a mysterious killer who may blur the lines between justice and vengeance.
New Faces Join the Cast
The new season expands its ensemble with Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham, joining returning stars Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill.
The series continues to be produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios, maintaining the cinematic quality and psychological tension that made the first season a breakout hit.
Behind the Scenes
In addition to Ben Watkins and Aldis Hodge, Cross Season 2 is executive produced by Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa.
Watkins, who serves as showrunner and writer, has described Cross as “a layered exploration of how justice, trauma, and intellect intersect.” With the addition of new creative talent and complex character arcs, Season 2 promises to deliver an even darker and more introspective tone.
A Global Phenomenon Continues
Following its successful first season, Cross has become one of Prime Video’s standout crime dramas — praised for its gripping storytelling, Hodge’s commanding performance, and its fresh take on the procedural genre.
Season 2 will debut exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories, giving fans worldwide another chance to step inside the mind of Alex Cross.
