Transformers Push Harry Potter Off IMAX

Behold the mighty power of Optimus Prime! Ok so here’s the deal… as you all know the newest Harry Potter film was originally supposed to come out last November and instead opted to release in July instead. Lots of people were pissed off, but everyone seems to have gotten over it. However, the consequences for that decision are still going to be felt.

Apparently Harry Potter has had to shelve the plans to also release on IMAX screens. You see, Transformers 2 opens a few weeks before Harry Potter and IMAX has booked their screens for them, which means that Harry Potter can only open on IMAX on 2 screens in LA and New York and then has to wait for Transformers 2 to finish its run.

According to the good folks over at JoBlo, IMAX “decided” to go with Transformers 2 over Potter for that time frame.

But let’s be honest… even if you’re someone who likes Harry Potter more than Transformers, you’ve got to admit seeing Transformers on the bigger screens seems more worth while than Potter on the bigger screens doesn’t it?
