By the time we are all catching our breaths in the afterglow of this summer’s blockbuster rampage (and potential rollercoaster if some of those anticipated flicks fail) the media buzz will be once again bringing us into the Christmas season with all things Harry Potter.
Warner Bros. Pictures has provided ComingSoon.net with new photos from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, coming to theaters and IMAX on November 21, 2008. Directed by David Yates from a script by Steven Kloves, the sixth installment stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson

I have to say that this series is in part a little magical to me. No pun intended.
When I see the three of those actors sitting together in that mystical ancient castle I get totally sucked in. Yeah, its for kids. You need about a grade 5 reading level to get through the books, but I am absorbed in the series. Its a shame its over, but I understand why. (And you Potter zealots can leave the “she will write another one!” chants alone. I will believe it if I see it)
So now all I have to look forward to is the movies so I can relive the stories on the big screen instead. The pictures don’t say much, but so far its looking good. Most of the Half Blood Prince story revolves around revealing the whole story of Voldemort. I kind of wish she hadn’t written this story. Not because I didn’t want to know, but it would have given a wide open door for a prequel. The story of Lilly and James Potter? That would have been cool. But this story wipes out the need for that, and the last book eliminates any need of a followup story.
Half Blood Prince was my favourite book until I got into the real meaty climactic action of the Deathly Hallows, so its all ramping up excitement for me.

This is one of the few instances where I say I *didn’t* get the book, but love the movies.
Which movie last year did not throw trailers til the last possible minute? Was it X-men 3? The movie was bad bad baaaaad but I have faith in the Potter franchise.

Only a douchebag thinks that reading a synopsis on a wiki makes you ahead of someone who actually read the whole series.
That would be arrogant indeed.

damn these kids are in desperate need of some new headshots. They’re faces are completely changing. Look at the bully kid. His whole face has been completely restructured by age. It’s inSANE! And Radcliff has facial hair! DAMN! How old are they now?!

I can’t wait for the HP and the Half-Blood Prince! It’s just sad though that there are only two more movies left (including Half-Blood Prince). But at least there’s still two more, yey!

Technically there are 3 more movies (including HBP) because they are filming Deathly Hallows as two movies.

I’m counting the days until this movie comes out. Actually, this is probably the only movie Ive looked forward to so far this year. Half-Blood Prince was an excellent book and yes I’m sure it most likely will not do the book justice but either way its gonna be good.

The only movie you have been looking forward to?
The the lineup of films slated for this year I find that THIS would be the only one worth your attention. Just sayin.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m beginning to lose interest in the entire franchise. The first movie was great, the second is probably my least favorite, 3rd is my favorite, 4th was good, but the 5th was crap I thought and I have lost almost all interest in the remaining Potter sequels. Maybe with Kloves back on the script the series can recover, but I’m not holding out much hope.
