Bruce Willis wants Two More Die Hard Films

Bruce Willis has been talking Die Hard again, and with action nostalgia being high, it is appropriate for him to consider it.

And it seems 6 is the new 3, as he wants to round out the series with six films before retiring the character.

Worst Previews quotes Willis:

“In the next few years they could easily find a replacement for me or call the character someone else,” he told FHM. “But for me, I want to do ‘Die Hard 5,’ then one final ‘Die Hard’ movie – ‘Die Hard 6’ – before finally hanging that white vest up for good.”

Willis continued: “At the moment, I can run and I can fight on screen. But there will come a time when I no longer want to do that. That’s when I’ll step away from the ‘Die Hard’ films.”

Now him wanting to do them doesn’t mean they will happen but I hope so.

I hope so. I have always enjoyed the Die Hard films and I think that when Willis gives up on them, then so will the studio.

There is no “bigger world” where another cop could carry on the crazy circumstances his John McClane finds himself in. Without John McClane, there is no Die Hard. It would just be another cop film.

So bring on another few Die Hards while we still have Bruce doing cartwheels.

  1. As long as he can “Run and Fight”.

Bruce is still good for 1 more BUT did anyone see Expendables? (of course you did) Stallone was struggling to run in that one and was a little painfull and funny to watch. Bruce should think about that, but if Harrison Ford can do it then F-it! Keep em coming!

    I didn’t Love part 4 BTW.

Bring back Sam Jacksons character and it’ll be fun

  2. Live Free or Die Hard was up there as one of the best! I thought it was better than the 3rd! Id love to see a 5th and 6th! Bring it on! Sooner rather than later!

  3. Three is a nice round number. They got away with 4 not sucking, but they’d be pushing their luck. Particularly as there’ll start to not be much continuity other than Bruce Willis the longer they try to stretch this out. Eventually, the quality’s gonna suffer. Always leave them wanting more, don’t milk it until there’s nothing left and you put out a crappy movie. Because it’s bound to happen eventually.

  4. This makes me sad.

I’d rather see Death Becomes Her 2. Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn resurrecting a zombie Bruce Willis? Damn that would be good cinema!

And I’ll go ahead ask the question that everyone is wondering, the question we are all on the edges of our seats to get the answer for…will Justin Long be in the sequels?

  5. The last Die Hard was stretching it. I’m a big Die Hard and Willis fan but I think they should have stopped with three. Four was too much for my taste, it seemed as they went to the well one too many times and didn’t have a great story or for that matter great supporting characters which the pervious films had plenty of. Love Bruce Willis but unless they come up with a story that can hold a candle to the first three put it to rest. Instead of Die Harder they should Try Harder.
