With the sci-fi suspense thriller Gravity seeing so many names attached to it, its finally good news to announce that some papers are involved and Natalie Portman is holding the pen.
Earlier this month word was that Portman was still mulling over taking the role, and a few weeks ago we heard Sandra Bullock was waiting in the wings if Portman passed, but now there’s great news coming out of THR: Portman is in “active negotiations” to take the part.
With all the rave reviews we are hearing about Black Swan, it seems her ticket is back to being golden.
Gravity features a scientist stranded on a remote space station desperately trying to get home to be with her family and see her daughter again.
I think Portman can pull that off.

Personally I am not a fan of this pitch. The whole stranded person thing wanting to see their family is kind of over played if you ask me, but hey, the script sounds solid for the likes of Cuaron, and Downey to be attached to it so who knows.
So are romantic comedies. Doesn’t mean they can’t be good movies.
Just sayin.
