A trailer for Priest (in 3D apparently) was revealed at Comic Con and while we saw some images online from the booth, this gives us a much better look at the film.
This does have a bit of a Jonah Hex vibe to it but leaning a lot more towards Blade Runner obviously because of the setting.
I like to think that if the dark and bleak future of technology hits, society will revert to a degree of lawlessness like the Wild West, and this laces it with tons of tech and a bit of supernatural disguised as a biological threat.
I hesitate to get excited about this, but I think its not working. Looks cool, but I have an itchy feeling it will let me down like Hex.

The fact the it’s in 3D indicates to me that it ain’t gonnna be all it’s cracked up to be.
I’m hoping for better though as I rate Paul Bettany as an actor. Then again I suppose I also rated Josh Brolin. Whoops.

I don’t either. Most every film, big effects and animated ones, are in 3D these days, wether the film turns out to be good or bad.
Is that movie inspired from the manga of the same title (from Hyung MIN-WOO)?

Yeah, but it barely resembles the comic, which I’m a massive fan of. Tokyopop is going to publish a miniseries starting next month that ties the up coming movie with the original comic series. I think (not 100% sure) they’re also going to republish the original series, in anticipation for the movie. The word on the net is that Tokyopop has been losing a lot of money and are going to milk everything that they can from this movie. I’m hoping the new interest in the title will motivate the creator to finish the story.
