Norton Says No Cameo In Iron Man 2

As most of you know, at the very end of the most recent “Hulk” movie staring Edward Norton, Robert Downey Jr. makes an appearance as Tony Stark (Iron Man). With all the merging going on in the Marvel Universe of films right now it was being speculated that Norton would also make a brief appearance in the upcoming “Iron Man 2″.

Norton was directly asked about this at the Toronto Film Festival this week and flatly denied the rumors. According to him, there are no plans for Bruce Banner to show up.

Question: Is this one of those rumors you wish were true, or does it make no difference to you?

  1. I wish it were true, but I wish the Hulk would make a cameo in every movie.

Imagine Milk with a Hulk cameo.

Or if The Time Traveler’s Wife’s Husband was The Hulk.

The Hulk could make any movie amazingly better, well, except for Gummo, nothing would help that train wreck.

  2. The cameos are usually just thrown in there and seem out of place anyway. It was completely random in The Incredible Hulk and it only worked in Iron Man because it was after the credits.

I don’t know if Norton is on the best of terms with Marvel, but I hope any Hulk film in the future doesn’t waste him like the last film did.

  3. It doesn’t bother me if he doesn’t make a cameo. We know the plans are for various crossovers and just by slapping in a short cameo towards the end of a movie will start to become too predictable. If they want to keep teasing us or establishing various crossovers they will need to expand on how they do it rather than just doing the same thing.

  4. Any one of the characters from Incredible Hulk could get a snapshot and/or a mention (such as General Ross/Will Hurt), I’ll give Iron Man II that.

There also *could be* a brief cameo by the Hulk, (sans Norton)…

But that’s as far as I’d go.

  5. They may not have him in it but maybe the hulk itself…. so maybe hes not lying.

To build up anticipation of the avengers there gonna have to start spinning the cross-overs and cameos + it makes the film that extra bit more interesting !

I will definatly be sitting there alone in the pictures once everyones left just too see the ending.

  6. I’d rather he didn’t, maybe they could reference to him, like a call for stark setting up a meeting, but somthing sutle.

we know there crossing over, so cameo’s don’t really add anything, it should either be a full scene or just references.

  7. I hadn’t heard any real solid news that Norton had made up with Marvel in the first place. But providing that I missed something, I wish it were true. Maybe not a ‘climactic’ ending cameo (repetitive much), but maybe just a half nod or something.
But hey, Ty brought up the point. Maybe he IS lying.

  8. I don’t really care.

It’d be kinda repetitive if we kept expecting some kind of crossover at the end of every film. Because then the ONE time they DON’T do it..we’ll all be pissed.

It also could be that Norton is lying.
