First Pics From Zombieland

There are some new pics online form the new post apocalyptic Zombie comedy “Zombieland“. I’m a little tired of Zombie movies in general, simply because they’re all pretty much exactly the same over and over and over and over again. Seen one you’ve seen them all. Well… there are a couple of rare exceptions.

I’ve got to admit this one interests me a little bit if for no other reason we get to see Woody Harrelson as a Zombie killer. Sweet. My only reservation is that, as a Zombie horror/comedy, it may come off as a poor man’s Shaun of the Dead (which is just freaking amazing if you’ve never seen it).

These two pics come via AICN (they have more of them over there you should check out if you like these ones)

  1. Awesome, the pics are great, both these and the ones from the other site. I think a main stream American made Zombie horror/comedy movie could turn out pretty good, I just hope it’s going to be rated R, I love really bloody humor.

Plus it’s staring Woody freakin’ Harrelson! I think the man is a wonderful actor, seems like he can pull of almost any type of role, comedy, drama, action, psycho, LOL. I’m so happy he’s come back to doing movies again, it was great seeing him with a strong role and a good amount of lines in No Country. Before that I don’t think he had done much in a long time, besides a few cameos here and there.

Seems it’s also staring Mila Kunis, Abigail Breslin, and…Bill Murray!!! LOL, that is just awesome, I bet he’ll be funny as hell in this. But on IMDb, it says his character’s name is Zombie? Does that mean he’s playing a zombie, like the main zombie in the story or just his name in the film?

Either way, him playing a zombie or not, it’s just great that he’s in it. To me would suggest that the script is pretty damn good if they got him on board AND Woody Harrelson.

    WOOT! Can’t wait.

  2. Yeah right British humour isn’t funny. Tell that to Billy Connelly, the pythons, Laurel and Hardy( Laurel being British born) the office (Ricky Gervais) Hugh Laurie and of course British born comedian Bob Hope. As for this movie I’ll go and see it as I actually have a very diverse sense of humour and get slap-stick as well as irony. Clearly the later is lost on most Americans.

    1. Too add to that list;
-Rowan Atkison as Bean and Blackadder[series 2 being one of the best shows l can recall], where Hugh Laurie got his start
-The Goodies, in your face humor that was funny
-The Young Ones, in your face humor that was funny
      -Alias Smith and Jones
      -Fawlty Towers
      …the list goes on

As for the movie, like yourself l try to have an open mind, so ll check it out, but most likely not til it comes to DVD.

  3. John, Zombie movies are bad and good at different levels. Shaun of the Dead – Good, Day of the Dead – Bad. It looks like Zombieland is just a good zombie komedie with good stars and some fun satire jokes. I really want to see more of these zombie movies , like 28 Months Later, …. of the Dead [ George a romero ]. Perhaps even a Star Trek zombie movie with spock his ears as teeth.

  4. I hope its not like Shaun of the Dead that was boring but I am with you on Woody Heraldson being a Zombie killer that just sounds bad ass and the Evil Dead movies is what started the comedy of Zombie flicks.

  5. Although I am all for my own countries patriotizm, I disagree with bigsampson in defense of some other countries including the English as far as their ability to have “guns and shit” in their zombie movies.
“28 days later” & “28 weeks later” had tons of action along with chemical and incendiary weapons used by the government.
“Undead” was Australian I believe and had tons of shotguns and funny and explosive moments.
As well as “Dead Alive” Which produced a scene that was designated the title of “bloodiest scene ever” for its lawnmower usage.
I love the Americanized way of shooting everything that moves as much as the next guy but Shaun of the Dead was perfect for what the director and writers were going for in my opinion.
I really look forward to see what Woody Harrelson can bring to the zombie table.

  6. shaun of the dead was great but i would have liked it alot more with american humor….english humor is so bland and half the time i was going…ya thats cute but not overly funny….but dont get me wrong i loved shaun of the dead….just wish it had more amicanism….sych as GUNS AND SHIT…cant stand english zombie movies….there has to be more guns!!!! more mayhem!

    1. You mean American humor like American Pie…where every joke has to be wham in your face?…or American humor like Scary Movie and its million copies?…yur thats just awesome…not.
I prefer subtle humor myself, thou on occassion, when down right, wham in your face humor can be good.
Oh, and just to save some time…l live in American and lm not English.

    2. English humor smashes American humor all day. From the country that makes Date Movie and Disaster Movie millions I’ll take Shaun of the Dead all day.
