Happy Anniversary Richard!

Richard BruntonWell it’s officially been a year today since I started writing for the Movie Blog, and I mean spot on.

My first article was called The A-Team gets a writer and we still haven’t seen anything from that movie yet! Some of the most popular have been Hollywood to tarnish the story of Anneliese Michel? with 242 comments, Possible leaks on Halo the movie with 211, and Interview with the Phantom of the Opera – Gerard Butler with 192 – to date that is! Have a look at the full list of posts I’ve written, I’m even surprised how far that stretches!

It’s been a superb year for many reasons, but one of the biggest has undoubtedly been writing for the site. This has allowed me to see some great movies (and some dire ones!), be official Press at the Edinburgh Film Festival, get free movie tickets, and best of all, get into some great discussions with you guys out there reading.

So a big thanks to John who has let me join the site, continue writing, and occassionally speak to you, but an even bigger thanks to you for reading, responding, and getting excited about the stories I’ve written. The thing I like about the Movie Blog more than any other site is that we don’t just post news, we get conversations going, and that’s the most important thing. You need to comment, you need to get involved, after all you’re the ones watching the movies and giving your money to the industry.

Thanks again, and I’ll have a small drink to celebrate this evening. Hope you do too!

  1. I’ve always thought that John √é¬æ Richard complement each other’s style of writing. And as a regular TMBlogger, I must say I am also a big fan of Rich here and he knows this too well, btw, I’m still waiting for that Gerry Butler interview! *winks* How time flies when were having fun!

Keep your incisive posts coming Rich and here’s to a few more years at The Movie Blog. ;-)

  2. I celebrate the mastery of Richard.

Now that we have been friends for some time, can I call you Dick?

I love the header on your blog; it is dark, emotional and mysterious
