Romancing The Stone Remake

Romancing-Stone-Remake.jpgEven more remake news coming out today (we talked about They Live a little earlier today). Looks like the studio is gearing up to put out a Romancing The Stone remake. And you know what… I don’t mind the idea.

The original Romancing The Stone with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner was just wonderful (I watched it again about a year ago and enjoyed it every bit as much as I did the first time). But honestly… there aren’t a ton of people over 25 who have seen it and it’s a story, that in my opinion, deserves to be seen.

The idea of a Romancing The Stone remake also fits perfectly under my 4 Rules For Making A Remake… so I say why not?

The big question will be who they get to fill the shoes of Michael Douglas.

That is a great movie, but I don’t know who they could get to fill Michael Douglas’s shoes, I really hope it’s not Matthew McConaughey.

Er…no! Who could do Kathleen Turner better than Kathleen Turner? Knowing our luck we’d get Jessica “I can’t act for toffee” Alba

    No!!!

The movie is a classic! As enjoyable to the new generation as it was back then!

    No need for a remake
