The Return of Don Johnson

Don Johnson made pastel tees and white blazers trendy cool in the 80s and now it looks to be coming back into the spotlight after last being seen in TV’s Just Legal and reruns of Nash Bridges. He will be showing his age playing dads in two very different movies.

Coming Soon says:

Don Johnson is making a return to studio movies with a turn in Disney’s When in Rome. He also will pop up in the indie comedy A Good Old Fashioned Orgy.

For those of you who thought he had retired, it seems that he has a few foreign language films under his belt since dropping off the radar. Now Disney is matching him up with Kristen Bell as her father in When in Rome, and also in a father role in the independent comedy A good old Fashion Orgy with Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis.

To go from a Disney movie with the innocently superhot Bell and to turn around and star in a comedy with a suggestive name like that shows Johnson means business!

Could Sonny Crocket be back to kick butt and take names or has Johnson outgrown all that and is settling into comfy supporting roles?

Maybe he could offer up some songs for the soundtrack while he is at it!

Interesting. Especially the music video, but why would he be “lookin’ for a harpy?”

  2. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I sorta might be interested…in “A Man and his Dog”, a sequel to ‘A Boy and His Dog’…

BTW, as much as I loved the first three seasons of Miami Vice and was fine with Nash Bridges, don’t sell Johnson short. He’s a really good, and underused actor. Digging up two lost gems, int’l friends: Cease Fire and the TV film In Pursuit Of Honor.

to bob…he’s not looking for a harpy he is looking for a Heartbeat…the title of the song.
