Sydney-Pollack-Dies

Legendary director Sydney Pollack has passed away at just 73 years of age. This man directed some of my all time favorite films like Sabrina, Tootsie and many many more greats. He was also a damn decent actor including a role in the Oscar Nominated Michael Clayton this past year. This is a sad sad sad day. I have a feeling we hadn’t even seen his best yet. Such a loss.

Wow that sucks. I just happened to watch Michael Clayton today as a matter of fact and I had really dug his performance in it. What a crap year for talented celebrity deaths.

DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!!!!! Will everybody die??? Oh, yeah unfortunately we all will…

Unfortunately most of us will not have the impact that the immortal Sydney Pollack has had on the world. He was a legend…I loved him most as an actor, but his true genius was in directing classics such as Tootsie. Just imagine in the 80s trying to make a cross dressing film…and to be so well done…I believe he was always searching for the next classic film to make…Rest in Peace Mr Pollack, God Speed.

    What a gigantic loss…..
He was a legend and I also tremendously enjoyed his acting work, especially in HUSBANDS & WIVES and EYES WIDE SHUT.
    Rest in Peace, Mr. Pollack.

I was really fortunate to work for Sydney during post-production of OUT OF AFRICA. I spent 3 months of my life interacting with him every day up until the open-wide premiere. It is one of my cherished memories because Sydney Pollack was truly a “prince among the dragons”. What a shame he had to leave us now…just when the world needs more of his kind of talent.
