Two Final IronMan Posters Revealed

Cinematical shows us the two final IronMan posters

Personally I think these both are a bit off. I know you want to showcase your talent, but call me crazy I would prefer to see a poster with IRON MAN in it. I wouldnt even mind seeing Downey somehow in it because I love that they are making it about the man and the machine, but really this is about IRONMAN.

I dont need to see EVERYONE you paid to be in the film to be on the poster. They will get enough screen time, trust me. This just looks busy and takes away from the damned suit.

I think the teaser posters are way better.

I love the posters!! They look awesome to me!!

  2. Jay says:

Truly AWFUL posters for a promising movie.

  3. Michael_C says:

The posters suck. Not to bash the guy/gal that did it, but it looks akin to a high school photoshop project. C/C+ at best.

  4. Kristina says:

    Oh, that is TERRIBLE.

I was going through my DVDs the other day, and I found a disturbing trend: almost all of them have this floating heads/random image collage thing going on, and it is fucking HIDEOUS to look at. Man, I miss when posters were actually worth collecting, before marketing departments just put some images in a blender, hit frappe, and dumped the contents onto a poster. Fucking lazy, ugly, hideous shit!

  5. DON says:

    I disagree.

The 1st poster gives me old school 1980′s vibe of star wars.

    The posters rule.

  6. Kristina says:

The Star Wars posters wok due to that gorgeous hand-drawn artwork. This shit right here is just LAZY.

  7. JAMIE says:

    no dude…
it loks like one of those “transmorfers” type of movie poster..like cheap it looks horrible. the movie will be amazing but the posters are awfull
    like..
the 1st one that just showed half of ironmans head was radical tho but these suck- it just looks wack
the movies gonna make me moist tho- the posters are the 1s that suck the meat

  8. JAMIE says:

i agree with the star wars thing- ALTHOUHG DUDE in starwars there were like 1000 awsome characters that u could put up floating..in here its just ironman- so that makes like 7 regular boring people floating..thats ONE of the reasons y it sucks…then theres the fact that it looks cheap as fuck

  9. JAMIE says:

yo if they make the floating head thing in like..justice league..or the avengers then yeah but not in a movie with one awsome dude like ironman or the hulk cuz then that means u gotta put his scuba instructor and nanny and shit and we dotn want that…so yah

  10. I don’t know what everyone is crapping bricks about. They look great. Especially #2. It has a lot more balance than the first.

Well, that, Rod, cannot be helped. More than likely it is a contractual thing.

    @Kristina

I know what you mean. One of my favorite films from the 80′s is ‘Streets Of Fire’. I got the DVD with the original artwork…about a year or so later, Universal did a re-issue with no additional stuff. Just something to re-market it. The new cover ditched the Posterized Sumi-E like art in favor of photoshop cutouts.

I remeber the art deco Rocketeer poster…when that film hit video, that art deco brillance was trashed. Don’t ask me why. I do not know. I remember MGM-Pathe and the original one sheet of Quigley Down Under. Great us of airbrushed art…when it hit video, just a photo of Tom Selleck and nothing else.

Why the powers in play bring on graphic designers and either tell them to do such stuff (“they” are the “client”. You go by what the client wants) is beyond comprehension. But what I can say is that the int’l friends are off thier rockers.

  11. Mozzerino says:

I love it, the posters have a bit of a STAR WARS-vibe going.
I can’t believe we still have to wait more than two months for this flick. I wanna see it now!

  12. ALFREDO says:

These posters look great I don’t get why people are bitch’n. The teaser posters I think are boring.

  13. leeloo says:

2nd one is better but both are pretty generic. i hope the story isnt.

  14. Sir Jig-A-Lot says:

very original triloy star wars-ish. in a bad way.

  15. Slushie Man says:

They look like James Bond posters. I dig them.

  16. Vek says:

Star Wars? More James Bond vibe for me. But I really like both. I don’t understand the bitching. These posters would look great on the wall.
