Michelle Rodriguez to join original cast in Fast and Furious sequel

Michelle Rodriguez is one of those strange actress that have some sort of beauty but really are not pretty at all. Maybe I am just afraid she will kick my ass. Fitting that she plays that type of character and it looks like her role from the first Fast and the Furious will return for the next Furious installment.

Cinematical reports:

For those of you out there who don’t know your cheesy car flicks, Rodriguez starred in the first film back in 2001as Letty, the girlfriend to street racer Vin Diesel. Like most of the original cast, she was nowhere to be seen in the later sequels. But this time around, it looks like director Justin Lin is going back to the beginning and reuniting Diesel, Paul Walker, and Rodriguez.

As much as I liked the first Fast and the Furious, the sequel was pretty crappy. Then Tokyo Drift came along and still cheese, I didn’t mind it. I actually kinda like it. The best part about it (aside from the serious eyecandy) was Vin Diesel’s cameo at the end.

Vin Diesel NEEDS a comeback vehicle, and candy coated rice rockets are just the ticket he needs to get back in action. If there was any hope for this franchise, it would be to bring back the original cast in a new adventure focused on selling pimped out parts to trick out your economy compact sportster.

It will be good to see them all together again. Hopefully the movie doesn’t suck.

  1. i’m a fan of Michelle, sucks that she isn’t going to be in this movie much. They need to give her a bigger role. If they are getting the original cast together, I’d like to see a prequel to the first movie actually.

  2. Yeah, Brewster is also back. Don’t expect Rodriguez in it for long though, people. She only has an extended cameo towards the beginning, according to script reviews.

Also this movie takes place BEFORE Tokyo Drift, as the character of Han is in it, and it’s about how he and Vin’s character first meet. Ok, well I shouldn’t say that’s what it’s about per say, but it is something that happens in the movie.

As to if it’s a sequal to 2 Fast 2 Furious, or if it kind of works over that movie, replacing it, I’m not sure yet. The plot almost makes it sound like it replaces that movie , as it has the EXACT same plot just with different characters, or if there’s some kind of way they can work that in without replacing the second movie.

  3. Michelle Rodriquez is strange in the beauty dept. It’s like she’s hot, but not really, but I’d do her, but she’d probably do me. I dunno, I’m glad she’s not in jail & still making movies… or am I?
