Shooting Dark Knight In IMAX

Posted by on 23. 11. 2007in News Chat

Having worked in the visual effects industry for a few years, I’ve always been far more intrigued by the technology and techniques filmmakers use to make a film than say… an actor talking about how they came to be in the picture. It’s a great merging of art and science.

Anyway, IMAX has a video up right now with a look at how The Dark Knight (the new Batman movie) is shooting some of its scenes in the IMAX format. It’s actually pretty interesting (well… to me anyway). Check it out the short video here

Interesting, but I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the Bat in there. Oh well. Can’t wait to see this in IMAX. I missed seeing Begins in IMAX, but I will not miss this one. No way.

    Aaaaaaaaaah…..Nolan on…..the set of…..TDK…..

Aaaaaaaaaah, i’m going crazy with the wait.

In all seriousness, the sky is the limit for IMAX. It’s really starting to catch on with people and it seems to me that every new blockbuster that is presented in the format breaks new records for an IMAX release. If i can, i’ll be seeing TDK in IMAX on opening weekend.

This movie is going to be awesome. Even if the Batpod does look stupid as hell.

I can’t wait for this movie! Batman is my absolute favorite hero of all time, and these new movies are much better than some of the crap that was put out after the original.
