Forgotten Hottie: Morris Chestnut
Oh where, oh where has Mr. Morris Chestnut gone? He caught audience’s attention when he played the future football star, Ricky who tragically gets gunned down in John Singleton’s directorial debut, Boyz N The Hood. He then won over women audiences in 1999’s The Best Man, and then later went on to do bigger projects including Ladder 49.
Although for the past two years, Morris Chestnut has been MIA, and has made me wonder what has happened to his once blossoming acting career. He’s actually set to co-star in next month’s The Game Plan,(starring The Rock) but will that be enough for a comeback?
I wish Hollywood would give this man more recognition. He’s hot. He’s an underrated actor. Give this man something more to do than just playing Gabrielle Union’s love interest in romantic comedies or an athlete star already!

Even Serena refuses to admit he appeared in ‘Anaconda 2: Hunt For The Blood Orchid” ..or “The Cave” for that matter. That and “Half Past Dead’ -the last known Steven Seagal theatrical film (he also appeared with Seagal in Under Siege 2) – with all due respect, Serena?
That’ll nearly kill any rising career.
He is a good actor,I hope he gets better roles in the future.

Oh yes…I try to forget those stinkers…particularly The Cave. lol I hated when they had the anaconda eat him though in Anacondas…he was the only reason I wanted to see the damn flick…lol He’s proven in very few projects, he’s so much capable of more than just romantic comedies and lame CGI ridden creature features…

I remember him from that Patty LaBell sitcom.
Yeah he’s a handsome guy (no homo!). My girlfriend gets wet and tingly inside when watching him or Boris Kojoe.
Anyway he definitely deserves a chance but Hollywood only anoints one black actor at a time soooooo… he has to wait till Jamie Foxx falls one his face.
