Disney picks up Cowboy Ninja Viking

Seems Disney isn’t satisfied with all of Marvel’s catalogue now at their fingertips and has picked up the graphicly violent Image Comics title Cowboy Ninja Viking to be adapted to the big screen.

Live for Films says:

Cowboy Ninja Viking “is the creation of Doctor Sebastian Ghislain, a psychotherapist who recruits Multiple Personality Disorder patients to produce a unit of counter-intelligence agents called Triplets. When they become out of control assassins? That’s when the deadliest Triplet of them all, Cowboy Ninja Viking, is called in to take down his own brethren.”

Sounds deliciously crazy and guaranteed to pack some action.

Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are set to write the script, but no director or lead are attached.

I know the gut reaction is to think that if Disney is producing it that they will soften the teeth on it and make it into a family film vehicle for Dwayne Johnson, but I don’t see them going after a title like this to candy coat it.
