Universal Orlando Resort has officially launched its new nighttime spectacular, Universal Celestial Goodnight, at the Universal Epic Universe theme park. The show is designed to provide a grand finale for guests visiting the park, running nightly at closing time.
The production transforms the park’s Celestial Park area using a massive array of technical equipment. The display features nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures, over 350 fountains, and seven million LED lights. The experience is set to a high-energy musical score and concludes with a fireworks display.
Thematic Inspiration
The show draws inspiration from the various worlds featured within the new park. The production incorporates elements from Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and the Dark Universe. By pulling from these specific intellectual properties, the show aims to tie together the diverse themes found throughout the park.
Upcoming After-Hours Events
Beyond the nightly show, the resort announced a new limited-capacity event titled Universal Nights. This after-hours experience is scheduled for October 3 and October 17, 2026. Attendees will receive nighttime access to park attractions, character interactions, and complimentary specialty snacks and beverages. Tickets for these events go on sale August 13, 2026, with prices starting at $179.99 per person.
For those planning a visit, the addition of a dedicated nighttime spectacular provides a clear conclusion to the park experience. It serves as a central hub for guests to gather before exiting, effectively utilizing the scale of the new park grounds.
