The Western romantic drama Ransom Canyon is officially returning to Netflix for its second season. The series, which stars Josh Duhamel, is set to debut its sophomore installment on July 23, 2026.
Following a successful first season that premiered in April 2025, the show quickly climbed the streaming charts. While the series received mixed critical reviews, it maintained a strong connection with viewers, securing a 72% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
What to Expect in Season 2
The upcoming season picks up six months after the events of the first season. The story continues to follow Staten Kirkland, a stoic rancher navigating family legacy issues and his complicated relationship with Quinn O’Grady. After Quinn returns from pursuing her dreams in New York City, Staten must work to rectify past mistakes while fighting to reclaim his position as the trustee of the Double K Ranch.
The series, based on the book series by Jodi Thomas, remains set in a small Texas town defined by warring ranching dynasties. The return of this drama highlights Netflix’s continued investment in character-driven stories that resonate with a broad audience base.

In addition to Duhamel, the returning cast includes Minka Kelly, Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, and Marianly Tejada. The ensemble also features Casey W. Johnson, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Kenny Miller, Phillip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen, Lauren Glazier, and Niko Guardado.
The second season also introduces several new faces to the town of Ransom, including Steve Howey, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Robson, and Heidi Engerman. With a mix of returning favorites and new characters, the show aims to build on the momentum established during its initial run.
