What can I say? This actually disgusts me, its just awful looking. I can’t stand this type of ‘animated’ film, its just that motion capture…it just reminds me of rotoscoping, which shares the same horrid unnatural look. (naturally theres exceptions, like avatar etc) Anyway, I’m guessing some of you might like it, so here you go.

Reviewing trailers and movies that were made for children and saying that its disgusting and awful looking can be a bit… over the top.
i mean, everyone has their own opinions, and its okay. i think i would never see this movie unless threatened to be castrated. but do i think its a bad movie? i dont know, id ask a five year old and find out.
its like watching The Wiggles and saying it lacks intellectual dialogue and cinematography.
Of course PIXAR makes movies that please everyone, and How To Train your Dragon is the perfect example of a movie that can be a childrens movie AND be a great film, but kids watch these movies, make their parents buy tickets and toys about the movie, then forget about the movie in a month. they dont give a shit. its made for them, not for the soccer mom who drove them to the theater
for this reason, i think some movies shouldnt even be reviewed… besides pixar and some dreamworks films…. most animated movies are just cashgrabs made to get kids to make their parents spend money on a movie theyll get over in a week.
however, if they DO make a movie thats supposed to impress my 40 year old pianno teacher, and it looks like this- THEN i can say its an abortion of a film

Its has a vibe of an 80’s movie kinda like Flight of the Navagator but with Now seemingly cheesy animation and probally no heart and a paint by numbers plot. a step back IMO

i like “flight of navigator” as i grew up on that era. It’s definitely an underrated classic. As for this one… i don’t know on what Robert Z is trying to proves. Is he in sort of competition w/ Peter Jackson & James Cameron on who get the best virtual actors between them? If that the case. Robert Z is obviously on the losing side.
Yeah, I saw this trailer at the theatre and thought pretty much the same. My story goes like this: That sounds like the voice of Jessie from Toy Story! Sweet!, Zemekis? uh-oh….Wait, but the eyes are looking better this time around. WTF? This color palette seems dark and dull, Who’s the fat guy?
