Gweneth Patltrow is heading up the heartfelt Country Strong with country heartthrob Tim McGraw and up and comers Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund in a story about an aging country star facing rehab and the inevitable end of her carreer in the light of a younger star taking aim at her spotlight.
Looks a lot to me like the themes presented in Crazy Heart. Washed up mess of a star returns to the stage facing their impending age and still struggling with substance abuse.
Still, looks pretty good even if Paltrow’s southern accent is a little weak.
