Looks like Katherine Heigl will be hanging up her romcom career for a little bit and take a shot at a more dramatic role.
Heigl is lined up to play Adaline, a woman who mysteriously stops aging. Empire Online shares:
Dorian Gray got his shot at everlasting life through a painting that aged instead of him, but Adaline’s longevity is apparently the result of an accident that renders her ageless at the start of the 20th century. She lives a solitary life until she meets that certain someone, who may be worth going mortal for.
I like the idea of a Heigl doing something other than comedy. I like her comedy roles just fine, but its time for this girl to prove herself or die trying (and then just go back to comedies like Aniston)
So we will see how this goes.
