Just in time for the Smurfs live action adaptation (with presumably CGI Smurfs) to start filming, Sofia Vergara has signed on to be … NPH’s wife?
First up is “The Smurfs” which Raja Gosnell is directing for Sony Pictures. Vergara plays Odile, a powerful executive at a high-end French cosmetics company who is married to Neil Patrick Harris’ character.
Jayma Mays was previously reported as playing this part, so it is uncertain which casting news is accurate, or if one of these two beauties is simply a voice actor. Smurfette?
One way or another Sofia Vergara appears to be attached, and maybe someday we will get casting news that makes sense for this movie.
I wish it was set in medieval times with Jeff Goldblum as Gargamel instead of modern times with Smurfs living in Central Park.
She is however doing a voice role in Happy Feet 2, and they aren’t sharing details on who that is going to be either.
