Stormtroopers Reflect on the Death Star Attack

In the “was that too soon” category we get a funny video of some Stormtroopers in a bar reflecting on the one year anniversary of the destruction of the Death Star, but with the overtone of the 9-11 attacks.

“I hear they are re-building it. Bigger this time. Eight times bigger.”

It might be a shade insensitive, but its damned funny!

  1. Greatness all around! I couldn’t stop laughing, damn near choked on my cereal this morning while watching it. I love the end when the baretender uses the jedi mind trick to get them order more drinks.

  2. “i feel our aim is better before we put the helmets on” “i concur”…this whole skit is GOLD..lol bravo.
“we cant find skywalker hes one guy”….so many great lines…”so vadar happened to be in a tie fighter when it all went down”

  3. Humor is a tonic, and they cover all the bases here and in fine good form.

I recently posted this in another place: Overheard on the Bob & Tom show: “When they gave synthesizers to the British, it was like giving whiskey to the Indians.” There was the expected gnashing of teeth about inappropriate ‘racial humor,’ but one commenter got it right: ‘It’s a gross over-generalization in both directions, which is what makes it funny.’

Same thing here. Really good stuff, very funny. Love the blue milk.

  4. The single biggest problem was that you could clearly see the neck and chins of the actors wearing the stormtrooper outfits. That took me out of the video. Other than that, I actually found this to be in bad taste. It was slightly amusing but only slightly. The 9/11 material aside it just wasn’t funny.

  5. What is more disturbing is that in Star Wars, a new Death Star was being built within years of the previous one’s destruction.

In reality, the sad, idiotic reality it’s been eight years and there’s still a hole in the ground. No Freedoms towers/One World Tower or whatever the folks wanted to put there..
