Cars 2 Plot Synopsis Online

Cars seems to be one of those Pixar hits that you either love or hate. It might have something to do with my son’s obsession with it and the joy I feel through watching him watch it, but I am on the love side.

However when I heard they were making a sequel I wasn’t sure what to make of it and held out until I heard a plot synopsis. Well now we got one!

First Showing shares:

Former producer Brad Lewis is directing the sequel, which will see Lightning McQueen, his pit team and new pit boss Mater, heading around the world for the Race of Champions, to take place in five different countries and involve the champions of different disciplines like Formula One and rally driving. Apparently “Mater gets involved in a ‘Hitchcockian’ case of mistaken identity, saves the life of a British secret agent called Finn McMissile (who looks a lot like an Aston Martin) and becomes embroiled in a huge spy thriller. Only no-one believes him. That too comes to a head at Buckingham Palace

I was wondering what they might do with a Cars sequel, and I think I really looking forward to seeing that play out.

Now if they only had Timothy Dalton voice Finn McMissle…

  1. I’m in the minority who loved cars.
Its my favourite PIXAR movie just tipping Monsters Inc and Ratatouille to the post.

I’m a big fan of the film and it seems PIXAR agrees with me and decided to make a sequel for it before the other more critically hit movies.
So JUST SUCK IT UP all you Cars haters!
    Yeah!

  2. I cannot fathom why they Pixar is making a Cars sequel, but the story sounds decent though. Still, The Incredibles seemed the most likely to get a sequel first.

  3. I’ve never really liked Cars, in my opinion it’s average and hasn’t held up as well as the other films. I do know a lot of other people who loved it, especially working in the automotive industry. There were plenty of people who were tickled by the movie. I tried to watch it again only to be bored and fell asleep halfway through. All that said – this plot doesn’t make me looking forward to the movie, but it definitely sounds better than the first movie.
