This movie didn’t interest me much at all at first. Not because it deals with gay men, but just that Jim Carrey doesn’t make me want to see a movie any more. However The movies Jim Carrey are in seem to draw me in eventually. I just don’t jump to just because Carrey is in it.
But now that I have seen a trailer for it, I am really curious to see it! The story is of the true crime story of Steven Russell, a genius and con man who has escaped jail more than once and duped people into his bidding many times.
The dark comedic edge this film has me utterly curious. I fear some people will just be opposed to it because they can’t deal with alternative lifestyles and will turn their nose up at it. But it looks like a deliciously fun comedy that is really off the beaten path.
Besides. Leslie Mann. Need I say more??

I’ve never seen the entire Brokeback Mountain film.
My best friend and I were with our girlfriends and I obtained a copy. The first scene we flipped to was the tent scene and proceeded to have fun with commentating on the gay sex.

Weird, but pretty funny trailer. Totally NOT what I was expecting this movie to be, the fact that it’s going to be a comedy that is and it’s suppose to be based on real people and true events? Wow, LOL, ok.
I would rather see a comedy about 2 gay guys then another drama, not that it was easy at all for me to sit down and watch Brokeback Mountain the first time. My girlfriend had to talk me into it. Seeing Anne Hathaway’s boobs was nice though and made it almost worth 2 hours of being weirded out.
It seems like this film is going to play very well to both Carrey and McGregor’s strengths, but without going overboard, I hope anyway. Which is a wonderful thing and should be quite something to see.

I kinda like this trailer. I remember when I first saw the first picture for this movie I was being a huge dick about it.
But sence then I’ve become more ok with gayness and stuff. And I’m kinda glad this is a comedy becuase I still am a little put off with people being totaly serious about gayness but I do enjoy it in a comedic way.
